BTS4140N smart high-side power switch
The smart high-side BTS4140N power switch functions at Vbb 60V, and operates at a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. With a storage temperature range from -55°C to 150°C, the micro-component has a maximum current rating through the input pin (DC) of ± 15mA, and it features the following functionality values: over-voltage protection (Vbbin[AZ] = 62V), operating voltage (Vbb[on] = 4.9… 60V), and on-state resistance (RON = 1 Ω).
The smart high-side BTS4140N power switch also presents the following technical characteristics: current controlled input & current limitation, short-circuit & overload protection, over-voltage protection (including load dump), switching inductive loads, clamp of negative voltage at output with inductive loads, thermal closedown (with restart), ESD-protection, protection against GND & Vbb losses, a very economical standby current mode, reverse battery protection, and an improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): AEC qualified, green product [(RoHS compliant)].
The smart BTS4140N power switch has been designed to fit all kinds of resistive, inductive, and capacitive charges, being an excellent current controlled power switch for 12V, 24V and 42V DC applications. It can be also used as a driver for electromechanical relays and signal amplifiers. The high-side power switch is an n-channel vertical power MOFSET with charge pump and controlled input that is monolithically integrated in Smart SIPMOS technology.
